While the moniker dynamic duo has been slightly over used it certainly applies when describing Columbus' powerhouse backfield of Lorenzo Woodley and Daryl Chestnut. The stand out pair led the Explorers to a 10-3 record last season. Chestnut, the smaller but faster of the two, is an outstanding one cut runner, who explodes through the line and is electric in the open field.
An elite prospect, he has recieved offers from many of college footballs heavyweight programs, Florida State, Texas Tech, West Virginia, and Oklahoma State to name a few. He is also a viable reciever out of the backfield whose run after the catch skills could make him a valuable special teamer.
Woodley, the more physically imposing of the two, is a tremendous down hill runner, whose 6'0", 210lbs frame routinely batters opponents into submission. A work horse of a running back, he is a tough and determined runner who excells at gaining yards after contact. He also possesses surprising speed and elusiveness once he reaches the second level.
One of the states top prospects he has already recieved offers from Tennenssee, Purdue, Florida State, Mississippi State, Cincinnati, and West Virginia. Among the top backfeilds in the nation, Woodley and Chestnut will be a key component of the explorers success this fall.
